Food for Thought
Food for Thought is our weekend food program that supports local districts with more than 8,000 food bags per year. School nurses and teachers regularly see children coming to school hungry. Studies show that children who eat sufficiently over the weekends have better attention and higher grades during the week at school.
Our Food for Thought bags are designed to serve nutritious food for the weekend to children in need. Items such as oatmeal, fruit, pudding cups, juice boxes, granola bars and instant macaroni & cheese are included. An invitation to BRCOH’s weekly food and clothing distribution is also included in every bag. We believe this program helps students focus on school rather than hunger. You are invited to partner with us in making an impact directly to the students in our community. It only takes $5 to feed a child for the weekend, $20 for a month, or $200 for the year. Will you help us sustain this program and continue making an impact on students in our communities?
BRCOH Programs
BRCOH Programs are extended accountability in which those receiving assistance are automatically enrolled. BRCOH is committed to meeting people where they are and being a resource for taking their next step. After consideration of individual circumstances, credits toward assistance will be issued based on participation in volunteer service, recovery and counseling, continuing education, job-readiness training, on-site classes, and more!
